Overview
How many times have you been put through a CAPTCHA “human or machine” reverse Turing test? With the rapid progress in artificial intelligence, we can no longer be sure of the human qualities of the entities that surround us.
Its time to take the test back.

Work:
This work takes the Inverse Turing Test (when computers trying to check if we are robots or humans) out from the computer screen, and places it, literally in the hands of the (human) user. The user is invited to use his body as the medium through which the test is being performed. Through the use of custom-created CAPTCHA tattoos, the user’s body becomes the screen which presents the cognitive challenge.
Idea:
This installation can be thought of as an interactive technology piece. It transforms the human body into an interactive medium, through which the fundamental question is carried:
What is it that differentiates the human from the machine.
Short term commitment:
Temporary tattoo stickers, pre-printed (see images) or custom printed by the visitor in the installation.
These tattoos can last up to a day or two.
Intermediate commitment:
The Henna based tattoos, either in the form of pre prepared templates, or applied by a tattoo artist.
These tattoos can last up to 2-3 weeks.
